It is funny to check all the stupid but interesting jokes post by the IT Companies. I was fooled today by “Cydia” on my Iphone… I totally forgot about the Fools’ Day.
I did some research on various jokes made by IT Companies this year. Very interesting… Let’s see.
1. Microsoft Live Search (It’s should be put first Lol)
Microsoft’s Live Search team has a good one: “We are finally unveiling our long-awaited, updated and ready-for-today’s-internet new brand: MSN Windows Live Search on kumo@microsoft.com. We’ve done lots of customer research on each component of the new brand name, so we’re sure you will like it.”
Automatic Mood Detection feature on Windows Live Messenger
Using facial tracking technology, Messenger would know that you were laughing at a joke and appropriately place an emoticon into the conversation. If you stuck out your tongue, we could track that and type a for you. If you laughed out loud, your laugh would be picked up by the mic on the webcam and immediately the text ‘lol’ would be inserted. If your laugh exceeded the threshold of 95 decibels (~Subway Train at 200ft), you would see ‘LOL!’ instead. If you fell out of your chair and were laughing hysterically on the ground… we would insert ‘ROFLMAO’… and so on. GOOD ONE!
Google, for one is legendary for its April Fool’s jokes, and it’s living up to its reputation this year with the announcement of Gmail Autopilot for automatically replying to messages.
Amazon.com gets in on the act as well, announcing that it’s rolling out a new web service called Floating Amazon Cloud Environment, or FACE. The new service uses “durable, unmanned helium-filled blimps” coated in solar cells which generate power for servers. The blimps communicate with the ground via WiMax and on-board lasers, which “double as a defense facility.” It’s hilarious!!
Imagine that your dog is able to use laptop one day. And this Petbook K9 is especially designed for your cutie doggie… We have some special features on the laptop, such as Build-in DoggyCam…?

6. Youtube
According to Google’s research, “modern computer monitors give a higher quality picture when flipped upside down — kind of like how it’s best to rotate your mattress every six months. You might find that YouTube videos look better this way.” You can also check out this page for handy tips to get the most out of your new viewing experience. Google also has a link in every video page to revert back to the original YouTube look if this concept is just too advanced for you.
7. Opera
orget pinching, flicking and two-finger scrolling it’s all about winking, frowning, and puckering when using the Opera Web browser on computers with enabled Webcams. Check out this video to see it in action.
